Black Knight Rovers

The Black Knight Rover Unit, named after the ‘Black Knight’ character from the comedy film “Monty Python and the Holy Grail”, is located at the Hope Valley Scout Hall in the North Eastern suburbs of Adelaide.

Established in 2011, our Rover Unit has proven itself to be a key member within the wider scouting community of the South Australian Branch, as well as within the local surrounding community.

Many of the Black Knight Unit members are involved in Adelaide’s various ‘Gang Shows’ (variety shows produced by members of Scouts and Guides). Found in both onstage and offstage roles, our members share a keen interest in the performing arts and enjoy encouraging and seeing each other thrive in these environments. We also have many members who have received scouting awards throughout the unit’s
history. These awards demonstrate the integrity, passion, and enthusiasm our members hold for both Black Knight and the entirety of the scouting movement.

We have an active program run by our members, which is updated quarterly. Common activities include scavenger hunts, film challenges, and a Christmas party at the end of the year. Regularly, we participate in schnitzel night fundraisers at local restaurants to assist in raising money for our unit. These nights foster a great sense of interaction and connection for our group.
