AV2015 is the 16th Australian National Venture being held in Adelaide, January 2015. National Ventures are major Scouting events open to the Venturer section of Scouts (14.5-17 year olds). AV2015 will host around 700 Venturers for 10 days including an exciting expedition. Venturers will be at Woodhouse SA for the last 6 days of the event, which will consist of many on and off-site activities and entertainment.
Roverscope is a collection of Activities which will take place during 8-13 January at Woodhouse. Roverscope is run by Rovers to promote our section to Venturers all over Australia, and entertain the participants of the Venture.
To join Roverscope, you must be a registered Rover in Australia. You also need to complete an online application at http://applications.av2015.scouts.com.au and be approved by your Crew Leader and Contingent Leader.
Roverscope Recharge - a relaxed circus-style tent in which Venturers can recharge both themselves and their electronic devices. Plenty of seating will be available as well as daily activities such as giant board games, as well as the ability to locate Rover Crews around Australia.
Challenge Hill - a very popular permanent feature of Woodhouse, Challenge Hill is a commando-style assault course with various exciting obstacles. Rovers will be running this as a competition at AV2015 as a time-based unit-vs-unit challenge!
Outdoor Cinema - Roverscope has joined Entertainment, and will be providing staff and a candy bar for the Outdoor Cinema that will be operating every day on the Hillside Stage at AV2015. Lots of movies, video games and photography competitions to look forward to here.
Heaps Good Radio - Rovers will be helping Entertainment by providing presenters and prizes for Heaps Good Radio - AV2015's own radio station. Join us all day, every day to broadcast a fun and exciting radio program.
